European Luge Championships 1979

The 1979 European Luge Championships took place from January 29 to February 4, 1979 on the Oberhof luge track in the German Democratic Republic . Athletes from thirteen countries took part in the championships. The tobogganists of the GDR won all three competitions and were thus the dominant nation in these championships.
