Hohenspringe is part of the municipality of Bad Belzig in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district in Brandenburg .

The village of Hohenspringe is located in Hohen Fläming in the Werbiger Heide around 17 kilometers northwest of Bad Belzig and eight kilometers northeast of Görzke . Surrounding villages are Groß Briesen in the north, Egelinde and Verlorenwasser in the east, Werbig in the southeast, Dangelsdorf in the south, Görzke in the southwest, Dahlen in the west and ditches in the northwest.

District road 6935 runs north of Hohenspringe. The lost water flows through the village.

history

Hohenspringe was created in 1610 when a paper mill was built . In 1684 a cutting mill was built in the village . In 1782 Hohenspringe had a mill and two households with a total of 14 residents. Between 1870 and 1880 there was a bleaching in the place . A sawmill in Hohenspringe was closed in 1952. In 1955 Hohenspringe still had 27 inhabitants, in 1994 only 10.

Hohenspringe has always been part of the Kingdom of Prussia . There the place was part of the forest estate district of Werbig . On September 30, 1928, Hohenspringe was incorporated into Werbig. On July 25, 1952 High Jump was the county castle in Magdeburg district in the county Belzig in the district of Potsdam reclassified. After turning Hohenspringe was in the district of Belzig in Brandenburg , was once a part of the community Werbig for office Belzig . After the district reform in Brandenburg on December 6, 1993 , the place finally came to the newly formed district of Potsdam-Mittelmark . On December 31, 2002, Werbig was incorporated into Bad Belzig , making Hohenspringe a part of the municipality of Bad Belzig.
