Particularly worth seeing in Bergholz is the village church, which, like the village, was built in the 13th century. It represents the complete type of field stone churches in Fläming with crossbars (broad tower), nave , choir and apse .

The tower has a hipped roof with skylights under which the church bell from the year 1680th In contrast to the rest of the masonry, it consists of bricks on the west side. Static reasons required this repair work.

In the Middle Ages , the churches in Fläming always served as a refuge from raids. This can be seen in the narrow apse windows, which, in contrast to the windows in the main nave, were not subsequently enlarged. The main entrance and priest entrance on the south side of the church are also preserved in their original form.

The interior includes an altar painting from around 1700, a pewter and baptismal bowl from 1718 and the organ, which was restored in 2000 .

Surroundings

Other sights in the area are the post mill located between Borne and Bergholz as well as the giant stone and the bridal hype in the direction of Grubo .
