Hohenwarth is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Karlstein an der Thaya in the Waidhofen an der Thaya district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 45 building areas with 17,479 m² and 60 gardens on 23,003 m² in the cadastral community Hohenwarth , in 1989/1990 there were 45 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had increased to 194 and in 2009/2010 there were 94 buildings on 183 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 214 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 123 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 210 hectares and 125 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 204 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 122 hectares. Hohenwarth's average soil climate number is 31.3 (as of 2010).
