Thures is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Karlstein an der Thaya in the Waidhofen an der Thaya district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 43 building areas with 15,979 m² and 54 gardens on 24,251 m² in the cadastral municipality of Thures , in 1989/1990 there were 47 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 117 and in 2009/2010 there were 57 buildings on 115 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 208 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 197 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 219 hectares and 197 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 216 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 197 hectares. The average soil climate of Thures is 26.5 (as of 2010).
