Holley Fain (born August 28, 1981 in Leawood , Kansas ) is an American actress . She became known for her role as Dr. Julia Canner in the American television series Grey's Anatomy and Maureen van der Bilt in the youth series Gossip Girl .

Career

Fain graduated from the University of Illinois with an acting degree and began her acting career in 2010 with her Broadway debut of the new production of "Present Laughter" . She gained her first notoriety on television for her roles as Maureen van Bilt in Gossip Girl and Dr Julia Canner in Grey's Anatomy .

Fain also had roles in television series such as Criminal Intent , Lipstick Jungle , Good Wife and The Mentalist .
