Holzbau Amann is an international timber construction company based in Weilheim (Baden) . Buildings of various types as well as bridges, domes, exhibition stands and towers are created by her.

history

Xaver Amann founded the company in 1932 with two employees in Bannholz in the southern Black Forest. In the mid-1950s, his son Gerhard Amann joined the company. Timber engineering began in the mid-1970s . The company soon made a name for itself with large-scale assemblies, which began with a riding hall in Kenzingen . The company owner Gerhard Amann died in 2018 at the age of 79.

  • In 2012, Gerhard Amann was awarded the Forum Holzbau Prize 2012 at the Forum Holzbau Garmisch 12 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen for his commitment to wood as a material and building material.
