The Honda CG 125 is a small 125 cc motorcycle from Honda .

It was developed from the Honda CB 125 in the mid-1970s because it required less maintenance than the Honda CB 100 and CB 125 models. The CG's air-cooled four-stroke 1-cylinder engine has an output of 8.08 kW (11 hp at 8500 / min) and 10 Nm (7000 / min). It differs from the engine of the CB 125 S or CB 125 J in that the camshaft of the CG drives the valves via push rods. The development goal was robustness, easy maintenance and low fuel consumption. Likewise, as written on the manufacturer's homepage, “Operation with more than 2 people”. Closed chain cases were installed in the CG until 2004, and simple chain guards have been in place since then.

The motorcycle was sold in Europe from the mid-1970s to the early 1980s.

The Honda CG 125 still has a reputation for being an undemanding and economical motorcycle. In 2009 it was replaced in Europe by the CBF 125 due to the Euro3 standard .
