The Honda CB 1100 is a naked bike from the Japanese manufacturer Honda . The model was presented at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2009 and has been sold in Europe since 2013.

design

With this retro-look motorcycle, Honda appeals to fans of the old 1970s design. The design is strongly reminiscent of the legendary Honda CB 750 Four . This was the first mass-produced motorcycle with an in-line four-cylinder engine.

technology

The air-cooled four-stroke in-line four-cylinder has an output of 66 kW (90 hp) at 7500 rpm. Contrary to what the model name suggests, Honda has even installed an engine with a displacement of 1140 cm³. The standard version uses a five-speed gearbox to shift, the CB 1100 EX with a larger tank of 17.5 liters and spoked wheels uses a six-speed gearbox. The maximum speed is 180 km / h.

Despite the retro design, the engine is started by an electric starter. The exhaust gases are discharged via a 4-in-1 system for the standard version and a 4-in-2 system for the CB1100 EX and also for the CB1100 RS. The CB 1100 has a double disc brake system with a 296 mm disc diameter on the front axle and a 256 mm single disc brake at the rear. Two spring struts are installed on the rear axle instead of today's modern mono-suspension. The front telescopic fork has two 41 mm (EX) or 43 mm (RS) thick stanchions.
