The CB 500 X is a motorcycle model from the Japanese manufacturer Honda .

Model history

The so-called middle class with a displacement of 500 cc is an important segment for Honda. Furthermore, the abbreviation CB 500 represents a long and successful tradition for the company. This is why the new CB 500 series was offered in three different versions right from the start. The CB 500 X came onto the market as the last variant of the CB 500 in June 2013 and complements the R models (sport) and F models ( naked ) in the (travel enduro) segment. Significant differences to the sister models, which are more geared towards street sports, are, in addition to the optics (tank, handlebars, seat), extended suspension travel . Otherwise it comes from the Honda modular system.

The drive in all three models is the same water-cooled two-cylinder four-stroke in-line engine with 35.0 kW (48 hp) at 8500 rpm. For the X-model, Honda offers its own luggage system (case and topcase ) on request. For 2016 the model got some changes (larger tank, optical modification, larger pane, LED light source).
