Honda NSR 50

The NSR 50 (AC 08) is a sporty moped with a 49 cm³ 2-stroke engine, which was built by Honda from 1989 to 1996 .

Many similar parts and an almost identical engine have been adopted from the previous model MBX 50 . The motor used, short name AC08E was used in many other 50-models, as with the Honda models 50 MB , MBX 50 , NS 50 , NS-1 50 , N S50 F , NS 50 R , and the NSR 50 R .

The NSR 50 is equipped with a 6-speed gearbox. The water-cooled engine developed 7.2 HP at 10,000 rpm, the mixture was prepared by a Keihin HM 16.6 carburetor.

The German model was severely throttled in order to be marketed as a Mokick . According to the manufacturer, it has around 3 hp and only four gears. The power throttling is achieved with this model with a throttling in the exhaust, spacer rings under the cylinder head and mainly over the entire intake tract. There the carburetor, carburetor flange and the membrane are severely throttled. The CDI has no throttling.

The successor model is the Honda NSR Mini 50 , which is not approved as a road machine . It is used in Germany at the ADAC Minibike Cup.
