Hoofdklasse (chess) 1959/60
In the Hoofdklasse 1959/60 the 37th Dutch team championship in chess was played.
The defending champion Vereenigd Amsterdamsch Schaakgenootschap only lost one competition and became the superior Dutch team champion. The rest of the field was close together (the distance between first and second place was greater than the distance between second and last place), so all the other teams played against relegation. In the end, the Schaakgezelschap Staunton Groningen and Discendo Discimus Den Haag had to relegate.
