Hoofdklasse (chess) 1985/86

The 63rd Dutch team championship in chess was played in the Hoofdklasse 1985/86 .

The defending champion Volmac Rotterdam won all competitions and was superior Dutch team champion. Utrecht and the Koningsclub Bergen aan Zee had moved up from class 1 . While the Koningsclub was runner-up straight away, Utrecht was missing half a board point to stay in the league, the second relegated was the Hilversums Schaakgenootschap .

Game dates

The competitions were held on September 21, October 12, November 9, December 14, 1985, January 11, February 15, March 15, April 5 and May 10, 1986.
