Hoofdklasse (chess) 1982/83
In the Hoofdklasse 1982/83 , the 60th Dutch team championship in chess was played.
The defending champion Volmac Rotterdam won all competitions and was superior Dutch team champion. L & T / Eindhovense SV and Hilversums Schaakgenootschap were promoted from class 1 . Both newly promoted players achieved relegation, Discendo Discimus Den Haag and Bussums Schaakgenootschap had to relegate .

The competitions were held on September 18, October 9, November 6, December 11, 1982, January 8, February 5, March 5, April 9 and May 7, 1983.
