Hoofdklasse (chess) 1988/89

In the Hoofdklasse 1988/89 , the 66th Dutch team championship in chess was played.

The defending champion Volmac Rotterdam won all competitions and was superior Dutch team champion. The Hilversums Schaakgenootschap and Discendo Discimus Den Haag had moved up from class 1 . While Hilversum achieved relegation, Den Haag and Bussums Schaakgenootschap had to relegate directly.

Game dates

The competitions were held on September 17, October 8, November 12, December 10, 1988, January 7, February 18, March 11, April 8 and 29, 1989.
