Horne Land is a peninsula in the south of the Danish island of Funen , only a few kilometers from the city of Faaborg .

The hilly peninsula on the Danish South Pacific lies at the entrance to the Little Belt and takes its name from the main town of Horne , which was founded in the Viking Age (800-1050 AD). From the forest area of Svanninge Bakker, which is northeast of Svanninge at the beginning of the peninsula, you have a beautiful view of southwest Funen and the southern archipelago.
Behind the beach at Bøjden is the nature reserve Bøjden Nor , which is home to around 50 different species of birds. Fallow deer can be seen in the Dyreborg Forest. The Trebjerg nature reserve near Håstrup has Funen's third highest mountain (128 m).
Attractions
- The Horne Kirke near Faaborg is the only (converted) round church on Fyn, which was built around the year 1100 AD as a round fortified church.
- The Grubbe Wind Mill at Faaborg is a restored Dutch wind and water mill that is still operational. Here grain is ground and the history of the mill is told.
- Two and a half dozen barrows ( Knoldsborg ) Dureds Høj and Dureds Vænge , Klokkehøj , (Røsehøj) the stone box of Bøjden Salmager and old half-timbered houses are located on the peninsula.
- In Castle Hvedholm be an old wine cellar and a workshop for artisans.
- There are small fishing villages along the coast. In Dyreborg houses are from the 18th and 19th centuries. The place has a small port. The Kaleko mill is furnished with old furniture, tools and household items from the area.

The ferry to Fynshav on Alsen leaves from Bøjden seven times a day . Faaborg, ferries to the islands Avernakø , Lyø and Bjørnø and after Ærø .
