Horst Herion

Horst Herion (* 1941 in Mannheim ; † April 19, 2008 ) was a religious educator.

Life

After completing secondary school , he initially completed an industrial training course as a machine fitter from 1957 to 1960 . In addition to the subsequent professional activity as a technical draftsman , he prepared for the Abitur . After graduating from high school on March 1, 1966, he studied Catholic theology in Freiburg im Breisgau , Rome (winter semester 1966/1967 to 1970 theology and philosophy ), Tübingen (2 semesters theology and history) and from the winter semester 1971/1972 the subject combination of theology from the 1966 summer semester and German studies in Würzburg , where he obtained his theological diploma in the spring of 1973. In the autumn of 1974 he passed the scientific examination for teaching at grammar schools.

He then began his doctorate in Christian Social Science with Wilhelm Dreier . On March 2, 1979 he started with the work Utopian Intention and eschatological perspective. Marcuse's challenge to Christian social ethics to become a Dr. theol. PhD. From February 1978 to 1980 he was a student trainee for the subjects of German and Catholic religious studies in Würzburg and Mellrichstadt . In February 1980, after passing the pedagogical examination, he was appointed to the teaching council z. A. and the transfer to the Kronberg-Gymnasium in Aschaffenburg , where he worked until July 31, 1982. He then worked at the Würzburg Theological Faculty until 2000, most recently as Academic Director in Würzburg. From April 2000 to September 2006 he represented Godehard Ruppert at the chair for religious education and didactics of religious education in Bamberg .
