Horst Lässing

Horst Lässing (born February 28, 1937 in Stuttgart ) is a German administrative lawyer and politician ( CDU ). From 1973 to 2002 he was the district administrator of the Rems-Murr district .

Life

Lässing spent several years of his childhood in Mexico , Spain and Brazil . After attending school, he studied law and philosophy at the universities of Tübingen , Bonn , Cologne and Munich from 1957 to 1962 . In 1962 he passed the first state examination and in 1966 the second state examination. He then worked as a press officer for Federal Research Minister Gerhard Stoltenberg , most recently as a ministerial advisor.

In 1973 Lässing was elected district administrator for the Rems-Murr district. The district had previously been newly formed as part of the administrative reform in Baden-Württemberg from parts of the old district of Backnang and the old district of Waiblingen . After 29 years of service, he retired in 2002.

Lässing was chairman of the board of the Kreissparkasse Waiblingen and a member of the board of the savings bank and giro association Württemberg. He was also a member of the Guarantors' Meeting of the Landesbank Baden-Württemberg , a member of the Advisory Board of KAWAG and Chairman of the Red Cross , Rems-Murr District Association.

Since 1985 he has been the recipient of the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon and the Rio Branco Order (Officer's Cross).
