Horst Ohligschläger

Horst Ohligschläger (born July 16, 1958 in Cologne ) is a German journalist and publisher . He has been CEO of Bayard Media Group Germany since 2008 .

Career

After studying German , history , political science and journalism in Cologne and Mainz (completing state examinations), Horst Ohligschläger volunteered at the ddp news agency in 1986/1987 .

From 1987 and 1997 Ohligschläger worked as a political correspondent, first in Bonn and from 1989/90 in Berlin . After holding positions at Axel Springer Verlag ( Berliner Morgenpost ) and the news magazine Focus , he headed the stern's Berlin capital office until the end of 1997 . In 1998, Horst Ohligschläger moved to the New Media Company Ulm, based in Munich , where he was editor-in-chief of the internet magazine “com!”. From 1999 to 2001 he was also responsible for “Computer & Co”, the computer supplement of the Süddeutsche Zeitung . In 2003 he was appointed to the management of the Neue Mediengesellschaft Ulm.

In 2005 Ohligschläger went to the Weltbild publishing group , where he was responsible for all children's and youth magazines as the editorial director at Johann Michael Sailer Verlag in Nuremberg . In 2006, Sailer-Verlag was awarded the Bavarian Print Media Prize for revising the magazine title and repositioning it as a knowledge publisher for parents, children and teachers . In 2006 Ohligschläger moved to the Weltbild headquarters in Augsburg as managing director of the magazine holdings . With the acquisition of the magazines of Verlagsgruppe Weltbild by the French publisher Bayard Presse and the Belgian Roularta Media Group Ohligschläger 2008 went to the newly created Bayard Media Group Germany , which he since then as CEO leads.
