Huangshan (city)
Huangshan ( Chinese 黃山 市 / 黄山 市 , Pinyin Huángshān Shì ) is a district-free city in the Anhui Province , in the south of the People's Republic of China .
geography
The famous Huang Shan Mountains are located in its administrative area, which covers an area of 9,807 square kilometers . In 2003 Huangshan had about 1.47 million inhabitants and its own airfield, which is of great importance for the tourist development of the area.
Administrative structure
Huangshan is made up of three boroughs and four counties. These are:
- Tunxi district ( 屯溪 区 ), 249 km², 150,000 inhabitants;
- Huangshan District ( 黄山 区 ), 1,669 km², 160,000 inhabitants;
- Huizhou District ( 徽州区 ), 424 km², 100,000 inhabitants;
- Kreis She ( 歙县 ) km² 2236, 500,000 inhabitants, capital: greater community Huicheng ( 徽城镇 );
- Xiuning District ( 休宁县 ), 2,125 km², 270,000 inhabitants, main town: Haiyang Municipality ( 海 阳镇 );
- Yi County ( 黟 县 ), 847 km², 100,000 inhabitants, capital: Biyang Municipality ( 碧 阳镇 );
- Qimen district ( 祁门 县 ), 2,257 km², 190,000 inhabitants, main town: Qishan municipality ( 祁山 镇 ).

- Town houses of Qiankou ( 潜口民宅 , Qiánkǒu Mínzhái )
- Three houses of the Cheng family ( 程氏 三 宅 , Chéngshì Sānzhái )
- Historical architecture of the village of Chengkancun ( 呈 坎 村 古 建筑 群 , Chéngkǎncūn Cǔ Jiànzhùqún )
- Laowuge Residence and Lürao Pavilion ( 老屋 阁 及 绿 绕 亭 , Lǎowū Gé jí Lǜrào Tíng )
- Luo Dongshu ancestral temple ( 罗 东 舒 祠 , Luó Dōngshū Cí )
tourism
In the city center, a line of streets 1.5 kilometers in length, Song Street , was reconstructed in the local style of the Ming and Qing periods . Numerous souvenir shops and restaurants crowd here.
traffic
The eastern section of the Hangzhou – Nanchang high-speed line was opened on December 25, 2018 between Huangshan and Hangzhou East.
