Hugo Fischer-Köppe (born February 13, 1890 in Bielefeld , † December 31, 1937 in Berlin ) was a German actor .

Life

After taking acting lessons, he began his stage career in November 1907 in Bielefeld. As an operetta buffalo he appeared in Leipzig and from 1909 at the Schauspielhaus Potsdam . In 1912/13 he was committed to Danzig .

As a participant in the First World War, he was seriously wounded twice and released from the theater in 1917. Paul Heidemann placed him in Berlin, where he was hired as a buffo for the Theater am Nollendorfplatz for three years . He then played at various other stages in Berlin and also performed as a comedian on the songs and couplets recited.

His film career began as early as 1917, but Fischer-Köppe only became known to a larger audience with the dawn of the sound film age. He was a popular performer in military clothing. He embodied servants, employees, crooks, buddies, NCOs, sergeants and other people from the people in supporting roles.

Fischer-Köppe left recordings on Grammophon, Electrola and Telefunken.

Fischer-Köppe also took part in the "Reichssender Nipkow", the first German test television. He died as a result of a kidney operation and is buried in the Steglitz cemetery.
