Hugo Praetorius

Hugo Paul Praetorius (born February 17, 1835 in Berlin ; † April 12, 1904 there ) was a Prussian politician and landowner in Pomerania .

Life

Hugo Praetorius attended the Roßleben monastery school . From 1860 to 1898 he owned the Roderbeck estate in the Greifenhagen district . He belonged to the 6th Cuirassier Regiment and took part in the German-Danish War in 1864, in the German-Austrian War in 1866 and in the German-French War in 1870/71. He ended his military career as Rittmeister of the Reserve.

Hugo Praetorius was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Pomerania from 1880 to 1890 . From 1885 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives , in which he represented the constituency administrative district Stettin 2 ( Randow - Greifenhagen ) and to which he belonged until his death in 1904. In 1900 he became a member of the Reichstag as the successor to the late MP Heinrich von Manteuffel . He belonged to the German Conservative Party .
