Hulusi Salih Pasha

Salih Hulusi (Paşa) Kezrak (* 1864 in Constantinople ; † 1939 ibid) was an Ottoman statesman who was Grand Vizier for 28 days under Sultan Mehmet Vahdettin and the occupation of Istanbul between March 8 and April 5, 1920 .

He was born in Constantinople in 1864. He graduated from military school with the rank of staff captain. In 1919 he was Minister of the Navy in the governments of Damat Ferid Pasha and Ali Rıza Pasha . On March 8th, he himself was given the task of forming a government. Shortly after the occupation of Constantinople, he resigned on April 2, 1920. In the subsequent government of Ahmed Tevfik Pasha he was again Minister of the Navy. During this office he took part in the Bilecik Congress with the counter-government from Ankara on December 5, 1920. He was abducted from Bilecik to Ankara with other members of the Constantinople government . He was sent back to Constantinople on March 7, 1921 after the written assurance that he would no longer accept office. Nevertheless he took a post in the Constantinople government. Because of the abolition of the sultanate in November 1922, he withdrew from politics. He died in Istanbul in 1939 .
