Humppila [ ˈhumpːilɑ ] is a municipality in southern Finland with 2235 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2018).
location
The community is located in the countryside Tavastia km 21 northwest of the city Forssa . Hämeenlinna is 78 km east, Tampere 82 km north, the distance to the capital Helsinki is 138 km. In addition to the community center, Humppila includes the villages of Huhtaa, Koivisto, Murto, Taipale and Venäjä.
Humppila is on the railway line from Turku to Toijala . The current station building was built in 1983 after the old station had burned down ten years earlier in an unsuccessful mail robbery attempt.
Humppila is the end point of the Jokioisten Museorautatie von Jokioinen , a 14 km long narrow-gauge museum railway that starts in the neighboring municipality of Jokioinen and is used by historical trains.

Attractions
Humppila Church dates from 1922 and was designed by Josef Stenbäck . It was built after the wooden church from 1723 burned down five years earlier. Another attraction in Humppila is the 19th century Venäjä Manor.
