Huntington Medal Award

The American Numismatic Society's Huntington Medal Award (actually called Archer M. Huntington Medal ) is one of the most honorable awards in the field of numismatics .

The award is presented by the Society in New York in recognition of the life's work of an important numismatist. It bears its name in honor of Archer Milton Huntington . The medal was designed by Emil Fuchs in 1908 on the occasion of the company's 50th anniversary. The silver medal has been awarded annually since 1918.
