Huch ( own spelling HUCH! ), Until May 2017 Huch & friends , is a Günzburg- based publisher for board games. The publishing program is based on the pillars of children, Wooden Line, learning & logic, family & communication, strategy and lifestyle. In addition to in-house productions, the publisher also publishes titles from abroad as German versions.
Publishing history
The publishing house Huch & friends was founded in 2004 by Hermann Hutter, Klaus Zoch and Albrecht Werstein as a publishing house for educational and innovative games. Hermann Hutter took over the Kutter bookstore in Memmingen in 2002 and has also been involved in Klaus Zoch's Zoch Verlag in Munich since 2002 . Together with the publisher, they founded the sales company Hutter Trade, which took over sales for Huch & friends, Zoch and other publishers and toy manufacturers such as Chelona wooden toy range. In 2005 the publishers Ystari Games, Tilsit, Oberschwäbische Magnetspiele and Family Games were added to the Hutter portfolio. In 2006, the game was Caylus the special prize "Complex Game" during the Game of the Year award, the same year was Ironically Buxtehude on the list of recommendations included the game of the year. In 2007 the game Beppo der Bock won the Children's Game of the Year award . In the following years several other awards were added, including the Toy Award 2008 for the game World of Good Kitchen developed by Johann Lafer .
In 2011 the shares in Zoch Verlag were sold to the Simba-Dickie-Group , at the same time all shares in Hutter Trade were acquired. In May 2017 the brand name was changed to Huch! as a slimming of the name.
