IC 2497 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type S: in the constellation Little Leo in the northern sky . It is around 672 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 115,000 light years .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on May 14, 1903 .
