IC 2486 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 611 million light years from the Milky Way and about 160,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on May 16, 1903 .
