IC 2487 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sb: in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 190 million light years from the Milky Way and about 95,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on April 26, 1897 .
