IC 3822 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Raven south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 183 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 65,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 4724 , NGC 4726 , IC 3819 , IC 3826 .
The object was discovered on May 10, 1899 by Herbert Alonzo Howe .
