IC 3827 = IC 3838 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sc in the constellation Raven south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 187 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 45,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 4724 , IC 3824 , IC 3825 , IC 3831 .
The object was discovered on April 20, 1898 by Herbert Alonzo Howe .
