The IKK Thuringia , based in Erfurt, was a German guild health insurance fund and opened for Thuringia, Bavaria and Hesse. As a health insurance company, it was a corporation under public law.

history

The IKK Thuringia could be reached with over 36 branches on site. It looked after around 230,000 insured persons and around 40,000 employers (as of May 2008) and, with around 560 employees, was one of the largest employers in the region.

The Board of Directors of the IKK Thuringia last consisted of 28 members and was made up of insured and employer representatives. The chairman of the employers' side was Andreas Brückner; Ulrich Hannemann was the head of the insured party. The director of the IKK Thuringia was Frank Hippler.

It merged with the IKK Baden-Württemberg and Hesse , IKK Hamburg and IKK Saxony on January 1, 2010 to form the IKK classic .
