The Innungskrankenkasse Weser-Ems (IKK Weser-Ems) than statutory health insurance , headquartered in Oldenburg , a carrier of the statutory health insurance . In 2008 it was merged with the commercial health insurance fund.

history

On August 3, 1900 set the free craft guild South butjadingen to the Grand Ducal Office Butjadingen an application for authorization to construct a Innungskrankenkasse . The initiator was the then head master of the independent craft guild, master mason F. Adena. Only the bakers had come together to form a professional organization; there were no other professional guilds as we know them today. The bakers' guild was interested in setting up a guild health insurance fund and decided to join. Initial concerns of the Grand Ducal Office of Butjadingen were resolved by changes to the statutes. The average daily wage, from which the amount is to be calculated today, was set at 2.50 RM for male members and 1.60 RM for female members.

The Oldenburg State Ministry only granted approval for the establishment of the guild health insurance fund a year later.

As early as 1903, multiple changes to the law made it necessary to change the statutes. The contribution for foremen and employees was set equal to 6 pfennigs per weekday.

Even then, doctor and dentist fees were the focus of public discussion. The protocol of February 23, 1902 shows:

"1. Doctor's fee: The doctor's fee was communicated, and it was decided to try to make the doctors a little more lenient with regard to the fees for the masters in the event of illness. 2. Dentists: Dentist Brinkmann in Nordenham has offered for the Members of the cash register to pull teeth at discounted prices. "

In 1919 the general local health insurance fund Butjadingen submitted an application for association with the guild health insurance fund, which was unanimously rejected by a resolution of the board of directors and the journeyman's committee.

The compulsory guilds were introduced by law in 1934. Now the independent craft guilds were no longer the carriers of health insurance. With the "Sixth Ordinance on the Establishment of Social Insurance" of March 13, 1935, the new compulsory guilds were incorporated. At the same time it was determined that, despite the transfer of the guild health insurance fund to its new guilds, no expansion of the previous circle of members would take place. Thus the previous members of the guild health insurance fund remained, but there was no expansion to include the new guilds.

From 1955, all of which were insurance employees of the guild belonging craft supervised by the Innungskrankenkasse. Only with the introduction of the right to vote in cash registers in 1989 was this binding removed.

In 1992 the IKK Wesermarsch and the IKK Oldenburg merged to form the IKK Weser-Ems.

On January 1, 2008, the IKK Weser-Ems merged with the Handelskrankenkasse in the first nationwide merger across all health insurance schemes to form hkk .
