Iaroslav Mușinschi (born August 8, 1976 in Chișinău ) is a Moldovan long-distance runner .

Life

Muşinschi started out as an obstacle runner . In this discipline he started at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, but was eliminated in the preliminary stages.

In 2002 he exhibited with Petko Stefanov in the half marathon -Bewerb of Podgorica Marathon with 1:02:33 h a course record. The following year he repeated his victory and in 2004 he won in the same place, as in 2005 and 2008, at the full distance.

In 2006 he won the Novi Sad Marathon in 2:13:39 h and was seventh in the Istanbul Marathon . The following year he set a national record in sixth place in Istanbul with 2:11:59. In 2008 he finished fourth in the Alexander the Great Marathon , finished 41st in the marathon of the Olympic Games in Beijing and came third in Istanbul. In 2009 he improved his national record to 2:10:15 by finishing second in the Ljubljana Marathon .

In 2006 and 2008 he won the half marathon competition at the Antalya Marathon .

In 2010 he set a course record at the Düsseldorf Marathon with 2:08:32 and improved his Moldovan record again by more than a minute and a half. At the Olympic Games in London , he finished 25th in the marathon.
