Ida Rodríguez Prampolini

Ida Rodríguez Prampolini (born September 24, 1925 in Puerto de Veracruz , Veracruz , † July 26, 2017 in Veracruz ) was a Mexican art historian .

career

Rodríguez has held a doctorate in humanities in history since 1948 . Since 1954 she has lectured at the Faculty of Humanities and Philosophy of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Since 1957 she was a member of the Instituto de Investigaciones Estéticas ( Research Institute for Aesthetics ) of the UNAM. In 1967 she was a member of the jury at the 9th Biennial of São Paulo and in 1986 chairman of the jury at the 2nd Biennial in Havana . From 1987 to 1993 she was the founding director of the Instituto Veracruzano de Cultura . Since 1988 she has been Investigadora Emérita ( retired researcher ) of the UNAM and the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores . Since 1989 she was a numbered member ( Miembro de número ) of the Academia Mexicana de la Historia (AMH) as well as a member of the Academia de Artes and the Union Académique Internationale (UAI) in Brussels .

She conveyed her specialist knowledge in numerous lectures, books and specialist articles at home and abroad and was most recently General Director of the Consejo Veracruzano de Arte Popular .
