The industrial park Walsrode (IPW) is located in the Bomlitz district of the Lower Saxony city of Walsrode . It is located in the city triangle of Hamburg / Hanover / Bremen (southwest of the Lüneburg Heath ).

The industrial park was founded on January 1, 2001 on the industrial site of Wolff Walsrode AG , which was founded in 1815 . The Walsrode industrial park is operated by Dow Wolff Cellulosics GmbH , a business unit of the Dow Chemical Company , which took over Wolff Walsrode AG in 2007 and expanded the location further.
Today approx. 2600 employees are employed in over 20 companies in the industrial park Walsrode, which generate a turnover of approx. 700 million €. The area comprises 130 hectares of industrially developed terrain. Sections of 30 ha and 50 ha are free for new settlements. The range of infrastructure and industrial services has been organized to further broaden the range of industries.
The further expansion of the industrial park is geared more towards small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) whose activities are accommodated by large-scale industrial logistics and infrastructure . In 2011, developed commercial and industrial space as well as ready-to-use laboratory and office space were still available on an area of 130 ha (production area 210,000 m 2 ).

The resident companies belong to the fields of chemistry , plastics processing , life science and technical product development , mechanical and plant engineering , logistics , information technology , education and training and personnel services .
The larger industrial companies in the IPW produce chemicals based on cellulose ( methyl cellulose , carboxymethyl cellulose , cellulose nitrates ) for the construction industry, the manufacture of paints and varnishes and for life science research, and foils based on polyamides , polypropylene , polyethylene and Polyurethanes , which are used in the food industry, the cigarette industry, medical and technical applications as well as in paper finishing .

The municipalities of Bad Fallingbostel, Walsrode and Bomlitz, together with the industrial park Walsrode and other representatives of the local economy, concentrate their activities around local economic development under the name Deltaland (formerly known as Wirtschaftsdelta Vogelpark, referring to the local World Bird Park Walsrode ).
In January 2011, Europe Match GmbH, according to its own statement, the world's largest supplier of advertising matches and lighters , set up its headquarters in the industrial park.
Infrastructure
Transport links
The location close to the Walsrode motorway triangle of the A7 and A27 motorways means that there are good transport links and the international airports of Hanover , Hamburg and Bremen can be used alternatively. The closest seaports are Bremen / Bremerhaven and Hamburg . The branched rail connection of the industrial park via the Bomlitz – Walsrode railway line is operated by OHE .
Supply and disposal
A CHP power plant provides steam and electricity. There is a large sewage treatment plant to which the Bomlitz community is also connected. Natural gas, process and drinking water, nitrogen and compressed air are also available.
