The infantry schools for flagjunkers were military schools for flagjunkers in the infantry of the Wehrmacht . During the Second World War , they emerged from the infantry officer candidate schools in 1942/43 .

In Bornstedt (Potsdam) emerged on June 10, 1942 from parts of the Döberitz infantry school ; also training of officer candidates for the propaganda company

The school was set up in Ohrdruf and built on June 15, 1942 in Thorn with three rifle and one heavy artillery inspection. From April 23, 1943, it was called School IV for Infantry Squads . On January 14, 1945, the school formed the Gneisenau unit 4 / XX with regimental staff , 3 battalion staff and 10 companies to secure the Thorn fortress . One of the chief inspectors was Herbert Weiß .

In Beverloo on October 10, 1942, emerged from an officer trainee course of the Army High Command ; Relocated to the CdZ Lorraine region on April 23, 1943 for the defense of Metz . Reorganization in Meseritz , relocated to Schwerin in the Meseritz district before the Red Army marched in .
