Infermental

Infermental was the first international video art magazine to be published on video cassettes .

The project was initiated in 1980 by the Hungarian filmmaker Gábor Bódy . Gradually, artists from all over the world joined in with contributions. From 1980 to 1991, more than 1,000 video art works by around 650 international artists from 36 countries were brought together to create a compendium of styles, forms and content of video art from the 1980s . After her husband's suicide in 1985, his wife Veruschka "Vera" Bódy took over the overall coordination until 1991.

The editions are now on permanent loan in the video collection of the Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe .
