Ingeborg Bayer
Ingeborg Bayer (born July 3, 1927 in Frankfurt am Main ; † March 27, 2017 ) was a German writer .
Life
Ingeborg Bayer graduated after Abitur a training for a qualified librarian in academic libraries . Then studied it medicine and Indian Studies ( Hindi ). She worked as an archivist in a medical archive .
From 1958 she worked as a freelance journalist for various newspapers and radio stations ; In 1963 she published her first book. The author last lived in Glottertal near Freiburg im Breisgau .
Ingeborg Bayer was the author of books for young people , some of which she reworked into theater plays . Her work includes historical and contemporary novels as well as books on social and psychological youth issues.
Ingeborg Bayer was a member of the PEN Center Germany . She received the Austrian State Prize in 1975 , the Friedrich Ebert Foundation Prize “ The Political Book ” in 1982 , the Kathrin Türks Prize of the City of Dinslaken in 1986, the Friedrich Bödecker Prize in 1988 and the German Youth Literature Prize in 1989 for her novel “ Time for the Hora ”.
