action

Two friends, the reporter Robert and the photographer Walter, are in one of the national contest that takes place almost everywhere. Walter is friends with Ingrid, the eventual winner, and Robert visits such elections just for fun. To do his friend a favor, Robert lets Inge tell her life story the next day, in the hope that it might be enough for an interesting story. He doesn't even notice that he has already interviewed the young woman when she was sitting in a camp after the war, waiting to be taken out of there. In the course of the conversation, Inge falls in love with Robert. But he has no loving feeling for her at all, but only thinks about how to convert her enchanting manner and beauty into money. With his support, Inge becomes a coveted photo model and mannequin. Only love between the two does not progress. They are getting closer, but for Robert Inge is just an adventure. He's just a selfish lover and she has to deal with her worries on her own. When Inge confessed to him one day that he was expecting a child, he only had the idea to get rid of the problem as quickly as possible. Then the relationship with Robert breaks up and Inge gives birth to her son in a clinic.

Walter is a good friend to her during this difficult time and hopes that one day she will hear his silent advertisement. But then Ingrid meets Robert at a fashion show because she works as a mannequin again. Inge can hide her still existing affection for Robert, because she has meanwhile changed. Now it's Robert who falls in love with Inge, pushes for reconciliation and wants to be with her again. But she's not that easy to get around. Only when, contrary to his earlier manner, he leads her completely embarrassed and modestly into a small new apartment, she can get over his behavior in the past. She realizes that his feelings for her have fundamentally changed and from now on she wants to spend the future together with the father of her child.
