International Lenau Society
The International Lenau Society (ILG) is an association to promote the scientific and artistic examination of the work and personality of Nikolaus Lenau . It was founded in Stockerau in 1964 and is based in Vienna .

The International Lenau Society was founded on October 13, 1964 in Stockerau with the support of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and with the help of Nikolaus Britz , professor at the Pedagogical Academy in Baden . The aim of the International Lenau Society is to bring people together and to promote the work and personality of Nikolaus Lenau.
In the year of its founding, the ILG founded the Nikolaus Lenau Prize with the aim of drawing attention to the poet and the aftereffects of his poems in Europe and around the world, while at the same time making it clear that the poet's central questions are also today are still up to date.
Meetings of the International Lenau Society take place regularly in Baden-Württemberg , Austria , Hungary , Romania , Poland and Slovakia . To mark the twentieth anniversary of the Society, the anthology Comparative Literature Research was published in 1984 , edited by Antal Mädl and Anton Schwob . On behalf of the International Lenau Society, the first volumes of the new historical-critical complete edition of the Lenau works were published in 1987. The international editorial board consisted of German, Austrian, Polish and Hungarian experts. In 1993 the ILG organized a Nikolaus Lenau traveling exhibition in Munich in cooperation with the “Südostdeutsche Kulturwerk” and the celebration of the company's thirty years in Stockerau and Mosonmagyaróvár .

- the Lenau yearbook : annual journal for comparative literature (1996-2004)
- the Lenau-Almanach : annual publication in cooperation with the Research and Culture Center of Austrians from the Danube, Sudeten and Carpathian regions

Nikolaus Lenau Prize
