The Inwa ( Russian Иньва ) is a 257 km long right tributary of the Kama in the European part of Russia .

The Inwa rises in the northeastern Kama Heights in the west of the Perm region , only about one kilometer from the border with Kirov Oblast . From there it flows mainly in an easterly direction. At Kudymkar , the Kuwa and shortly thereafter the Welwa , their largest tributaries , flow into it .

The river flows further east through the hilly, wooded western Perm region. Finally, he reached the western shore of Kamastausees and opens into the village this Maikor.

Hydrology

The Inwa meanders very strongly on its entire course and forms numerous oxbow lakes . The river was previously used for rafting and is navigable on the lower reaches. The Inwa is fed mixed from snowmelt and groundwater and is frozen on average from the beginning of November to the end of April.
