Iowa Park is a city in Wichita County in the US state of Texas in the United States .

The city is located 8 km west of Wichita Falls in northern Texas, is about 10 km from the Oklahoma border and has a total area of ​​10.4 km², of which 1.0 km² is water.

history

The place was founded in 1888 as the Daggett Switch on the Fort Worth and Denver City Railway line . Iowa settlers gave the place its name according to where it came from .
