Iprobefos is a chemical compound from the group of thiophosphoric acid esters and a systemic fungicide . Iprobefos is used against rice blight ( Magnaporthe grisea ), rice stem rot ( Helminthosporium sigmoideum , Magnaporthe salvinii ) and Rhizoctonia solani .

Extraction and presentation

Iprobefos can be obtained by reacting benzyl mercaptan with diisopropyl phosphorochloridithioate .

Admission

Iprobefos is not approved as an active ingredient in plant protection products in the EU . In Switzerland, too, no pesticides containing this active ingredient are permitted.
