Irene Brickner

Irene Brickner (born June 25, 1960 ) is an Austrian journalist and author.

Life

Brickner studied political science and sociology at the University of Vienna and did not complete any of the studies. She worked for the daily newspaper Neue AZ , NÖN and ORF , among others . She worked as a freelancer for profil and Falter . Brickner has been editor and commentator in the chronicle section of the standard since 2000 . She comments on human rights issues and deals primarily with asylum and alien law issues , gender equality policy and environmental issues in her reports .
