Franco Iván Lucá (* 1992 in Punta Alta , Province of Buenos Aires ) is a professional Argentinian poker player .

Poker career

Lucá plays on the online poker room PokerStars under the nickname negriin . Since 2011 he has been participating in renowned live tournaments .

At the end of May 2012, Lucá reached the final table at the main event of the Latin American Poker Tour in Punta del Este and received prize money of US $ 46,000 for his fifth place . In August 2012, he won the Circuito Argentino de Poker in Rosario with a prize money equivalent to more than 70,000 US dollars. At the beginning of February 2015, Lucá finished fifth in the high roller of the European Poker Tour (EPT) in Deauville for more than 90,000 euros . At the end of March 2015, he took second place at the EPT High Roller in Malta for almost 400,000 euros in prize money. In mid-June 2015 he was the first time in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and won a tournament variant No Limit Hold'em . For this he prevailed against 2,149 other players and received a prize of more than 350,000 US dollars and was the first Argentine to receive a bracelet . At the EPT Super High Roller in Barcelona , Lucá finished sixth at the end of August 2015 for 280,500 euros. In January 2016 he secured his highest prize money to date of around 500,000 US dollars with third place in the high roller of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventures (PCA) in the Bahamas and only a few days later came second in a Six Handed Turbo for around $ 130,000. In mid-August 2017, Lucá finished fifth in the Super High Roller of the PokerStars Championship in Barcelona for more than 320,000 euros in prize money. In January 2018, he finished fifth in the PCA Super High Roller for more than $ 400,000. At the 2018 WSOP , Lucá reached the seventh day of the tournament in the main event , where he was eliminated in 20th place for prize money of over $ 280,000.

In total, Lucá has earned more than 6.5 million US dollars with poker in live tournaments, making him the most successful Argentine poker player .
