Ivan Anderson , also Ivan Subay , (* 1981 , according to other information 1983, in Ağrı , Turkey ) is a German actress of Kurdish origin .

Life

Ivan Anderson, who at the beginning of her acting career appeared under the name Ivan Subay, was born in Eastern Anatolia . She is a Kurd . She studied business mathematics , as well as performing arts at the Drama School in Charlottenburg from Valentin Plătăreanu , who was also one of her teachers there. She played theater in the Berlin dance hall Clärchens Ballhaus (2006; title role in The Little Mermaid ) and at the Stadttheater Offenburg (season 2008/09).

Anderson has worked in film and television since 2006. In the television film Brennendes Herz (2006), which tells the love story between a former neo-Nazi ( Alexander Scheer ) and the young Turkish girl Ayse, she played the leading female role.

In the movie Dreiviertelmond (2011), with Elmar Wepper in the lead role, she played the young, single mother Gülen, who has to travel on business, and who brings her six-year-old daughter to her grandmother, who lives in Germany. In the Norwegian film Brev till to Kongen (2014) she played the young Beritan, who comes to Oslo as an asylum seeker and intends to avenge the death of her husband. For her portrayal she received the Norwegian film award Amanda for best female supporting role in 2014 .

So far, she has had episode roles in the television series Der Staatsanwalt (2009), Der Kriminalist (2009; as Tülay Aslan, a young Turkish woman who was sexually molested by her boss) and Danni Lowinski (2010; as Emine Özlan, her younger sister Zeynep, played by Nilam Farooq , who is to be forcibly married to her cousin in Turkey).

In January 2017 Anderson starred in the female lead in the ZDF television film Murderous Silence . She played the young German-Turkish Amal Catack, the assistant of the chief detective Holzer ( Jan-Josef Liefers ). In May 2017 she was also seen in a leading role in the ZDF series Last Trace Berlin ; she played the Turkish Ayla Ünsal, the owner of a late purchase in Neukölln . In the ZDF “Herzkino” film A Summer in Cyprus , which premiered in May 2017, she had a leading role; she played Stella, the wife of a Cypriot textile exporter, whose marriage falls into an emotional crisis when she learns that her husband has an 11-year-old son from a one-night stand with a German woman. In September 2018 Anderson was in the newly on the first broadcast television series The Savior - We're a lawyer to see in an episode starring role; she played Ilknur Oktay, the mother of an underage Turkish girl who had her hymen reconstructed without her parents' consent . In the 7th film in the Lotta film series by ZDF, Lotta & der Schöne Schein (2019), Anderson played a supporting role for the Berlin elementary school teacher Ms. Serter, who teaches Lilo, the daughter of the main female character Lotta ( Josefine Preuss ), in her class.

Anderson lives in Berlin .
