Izdebnik is a village with a Schulzenamt of the municipality of Lanckorona in the Powiat Wadowicki of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship , Poland .

The place is by the Jastrzębka brook .

The neighboring towns are Brody in the west, Zarzyce Wielkie , Leńcze , Zarzyce Małe and Podchybie in the north, Biertowice in the east, Jastrzębia in the south.

history

The place was first mentioned in 1335 as Stebnicz . Later his name was Sitibelnik (1336), Scebelnik (1337), Ystebnik (1346), Istebnik (1348), [Wenceslaus soltys de] Istibnik (1362), Istepnik (1406) and finally Izdebnik (1446).

From the later 14th / early 15th century until the partitions of Poland it belonged to the Starostei Lanckorona.

Izdebnik in 1897

During the first partition of Poland , Izdebnik became part of the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire in 1772 (from 1804). At that time the village belonged to Rainer von Austria .

In 1918, after the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Izdebnik came to Poland. This was only interrupted by the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht in World War II . It then belonged to the General Government .

From 1975 to 1998 Izdebnik was part of the Bielsko-Biała Voivodeship .
