Jésus Rocha (born October 15, 1939 in Diamantina , Minas Gerais , Brazil , † July 13, 2006 in Oliveira ) was Bishop of Oliveira .

Life

Jésus Rocha studied philosophy at the seminary in Diamantina and Catholic theology at the seminary São José in Mariana . Rocha also studied canon law at the Istituto João Paulo II in Rio de Janeiro . He received on 1 January 1966, the sacrament of Holy Orders . Then Jésus Rocha worked as parish vicar and judge at the official office of the Archdiocese of Brasília . He was also the rain of the seminary in Brasília.

On 1 December 1993 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Mutia and auxiliary bishop in Brasília. The Archbishop of Brasília, José Cardinal Freire Falcão , donated him episcopal ordination on February 26, 1994 ; Co- consecrators were the retired Archbishop of Brasília, José Newton de Almeida Baptista , and the military archbishop of Brazil , Geraldo do Espírito Santo Ávila .
