Jón Krosslá Poulsen (born February 17, 1988 in Vágur ) is a Faroese football player who has been playing for the second HB Tórshavn since 2019 .

society

Poulsen began his career at VB Vágur . Already at the age of 16 he made his debut and in 2004 played a game for the second team on the 12th matchday of the second division against LÍF Leirvík. In the 1: 2 home defeat he was substituted on in the 80th minute for Magni Jacobsen . In the first division Poulsen made his debut on matchday 15 of the same year when he was substituted on in the home game against B68 Toftir in the 85th minute for Milan Kuljić . The game was also lost with 2: 3. He scored his first goals on the last matchday in the away game against GÍ Gøta . Poulsen was used for the first time from the start and scored the goals for 3: 1 and 4: 2 final score. In the 2005 season he came in the league with one exception as a substitute for the course, but completed a large number of games. In 2006, his playing time increased noticeably, and he was used in the majority of the games from the start. From 2007 he was finally one of the regular players, but this season the club, which has now merged into VB / Sumba , only finished last. In the second division, Poulsen was able to increase his goal rate considerably and scored an average of every second game. The first season VB / Sumba landed only in third place, which means that direct re-promotion was missed. In 2009 VB / Sumba took first place and thus returned to the first division in 2010. Poulsen played a decisive role in this with his 25 goals, which also meant the title of top scorer. He could no longer maintain this level in the top division, but with his ten goals he was still one of the top scorers in the league and thus exceeded the club record of Egill Steinþórsson with a total of 56 hits . The club, now renamed FC Suðuroy , missed relegation by one point. Poulsen then moved to master HB Tórshavn . In the game for the Faroese Supercup against the cup winner EB / Streymur , he played the first half, the game was lost 2-0.

After the rise of FC Suðuroy Poulsen moved back to this club in 2012, the season ended in last place, which resulted in relegation. The direct rise was initially missed in 2013 by a fourth place and succeeded a year later in second place. In 2015, he was second to last and relegated to the second division. Then Poulsen moved to the first division club Víkingur Gøta , with whom he was able to win the championship on the side of Andreas Olsen and Sølvi Vatnhamar . In 2017 and 2018 Poulsen played for the newly founded club TB / FC Suðuroy / Royn , apart from the first half of 2018, when he played for 07 Vestur in the first division. In 2019 Poulsen played for HB Tórshavn's second team in the second division.

European Cup

Poulsen made his European debut in the first leg of the second qualifying round for the 2011/12 Champions League away from Malmö FF , which he lost 2-0 to HB Tórshavn . Poulsen came on as a substitute for Símun Eiler Samuelsen in the 90th minute . In the second leg, which ended 1: 1, he was no longer used. In the UEFA Europa League he came on for Víkingur Gøta 2016/17 in the first leg of the first qualifying round away at FK Ventspils in the 75th minute for Andreas Olsen and resulted in a 2-0 defeat. In the second leg, which was also lost 2-0, Poulsen was not used.

International

Poulsen also played the Faroe Islands U-19 and U-21 selection games . For the U-19s he was the top scorer in the 2006 1-0 win against Norway . On July 13, 2011, he made his debut in the second qualifying round for the Champions League when he was substituted on in the game of HB Tórshavn against Malmö FF in the final score of 2-0 in the 90th minute. In the second leg, which ended 1: 1, he was not used.
